If you haven't taken advantage of the government's Cash for Clunkers program yet, time is running out. The program is slated to end at 8 p.m. Monday evening. Even though the deadline is Monday, many dealerships have already stopped participating in the program. The deadline is actually for having the paperwork submitted. Since there is a lot of work involved in this program many dealers stopped early so that they aren't up against the wire submitting the paperwork.
Don't worry, there are still many dealers out there who will be open and accepting clunkers right up to the deadline. If you're really looking to take advantage, it's best you don't hesitate and get to your dealer as early as possible to avoid delays.
