If you want to make the most of your finances this year you'll need to stay organized. You are bombarded with financial documents and information throughout the year, so keeping everything organized can save you time and money. You get statements, tax documents, receipts, and bills on a regular basis. Keeping things organized and in a safe place means that you'll know where to find them when you need them.

You've probably found yourself in a bind in the past when you misplaced an important tax document, or a utility company said you haven't paid when you know you did. If you're scrambling to find an important piece of information it will cost you time and maybe even money. So, start off the new year by getting your financial house in order.
